When I read how someone enjoyed a ride with a Fiaker (horse-drawn vehicle), I become angry and really sad at the same time.
Even someone, who declares to love horses. That is even worse.
The horses stand there, for hours, their natural instincts are reduced to nothing, they have no free will. They are flight animals and have to walk through the city followed and taken over by loud cars, some are even drugged for that purpose, everywhere are noises. They normally eat 18 hours a day, which is impossible here to avoid colics (which works towards a possible colic nevertheless) and the driver doesn´t seem to have any mercy, because "I do have to wait and stand in the bright sun too..I have to work and the horses have to work too"...they have no life as horses but slaves.
There is no friendship, no respect, no freedom, no nothing...
So please anyone who ever visit Vienna, (or any other large city with these) PLEASE DON´T take a ride with them!
DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T! DON´T!
a horse can´t cry
