much with the updatings
so... I have a car. And insurance. (and car payments and insurance payments andandand...) but mainly, I have a car, and on Monday I have get to go into work to talk with our district manager so we can see about making me a shift-lead, and on Tuesday, we have a specialist's meeting (I think) at El Paseo, and then I get to work my regular shifts the rest of the week, so... that really isn't much of any time off for me, but it is good hours, and I picked up a few extra hours this week because Jenn has me training some of her new people, so that means a much happier paycheck, even if I don't see that reflected in my tips because while I'll be training the trainees (or green beans as Matt has taken to calling them) at my store, I'm technically working for Jenn's store so our store doesn't go bonkers on hours. I feel very good, though, about the fact that she wants ME doing some of this training for her, and it certainly looks good when I go ahead to say that I want to be more of a district trainer later on. It would be REALLY nice if I didn't have to be an Assistant Manager to do that, but... we'll see, I guess.
Yes. I've been VERY busy, and will continue to be busy, especially while I try to get my budget worked out until I'm making more money. I'm trying not to cross the line between being positive about getting this shift-lead position and being presumptive and I really am afraid that I'm being presumptive, nevermind that I know I have the full support of my manager (and the district manager, for that matter... as well as the staff I'm working with now...) I have to admit that it would be really nice to be making more money, and this seems like really good timing, so... keeping my fingers crossed... and maybe folding some more cranes.
eventually, I'm sure that there will be pictures, if only because my mum asked for some. And the car is the Toyota Yaris, for those of you keeping track.
