For those who may have missed it, I actually posted fic for The Birthday. I know! I actually managed to post some fic! *shock*

Apparently there's a guy in Sweden trying to make himself lactate without using hormones. No real reason, just because. It rather amused me, but your mileage may vary. ;)

I just love the evil saltshaker picture on this article. (The link was sent around at work.)

A geneticist studying the plague (Yersinia pestis) appears to have died from exposure to the weakened strain he was using in the lab. Oops? :p On a related note, I just finished reading Defoe's A Journal of the Plague Year, and it is awesome. I must acquire it for my personal collection. :D

On the whole healthcare issue and other political stuffs:
-Great blog post on Fatshionista: "On Healthcare and Personal Responsibility"
-"A Health Care Horror Story" (AlterNet)
-Funniest Protest Signs of 2009 (HuffPost)

For the librarians, there's an interesting opinion piece in WSJ today about Banned Books Week.

This one is kind of old, but I was pleased as punch to see a mention of LJ on this story of Twitter in picture form (hint: it's way down near the bottom). It seems like most folks talking about social networking and web 2.0 and all those buzzwords totally forget about LJ, even though it's been around way longer than things like Twitter and Facebook. Go, LJ! :)

Okay, I think I'm done. Back to work! Er... yeah, I'm sure there will be work done at some point today... :p
