I would like to thank the University of Connecticut Gay Community for what you did to me. I tried to be a part of you, but for one reason or another some of the people did not like me. So out of discomfort and the feeling of not being welcomed, I left. And I want to thank you for it.
Because today I am living a much more productive and meaningful life. After leaving you I pushed myself further into SUBOG because it was the only thing I was involved with. And here I am today. An active and extremely enthusiastic member of SUBOG. Each day has meaning and my job is, for once, not beneath me. My decisions, as well as those of my collegues, have dramatic influence on our campus and the 22,000 students who attend our university.
And I'm here because you forced me out. I'm living a much better life than I could have imagined without you. Thank you.
