Well, found out who was following me. Turns out it was Nejiko's obnoxious twin cousins. ...and while I would like to think I held my own with them (they seem the type to drive people crazy) they did certainly get on my nerves. They harassed me as I ate lunch and I didn't even get indigestion. So, that was good.
They seemed genuinely concerned for Nejiko, with a little suspicion that I was the cause of her grief. Apparently she's not talking to them either. I guess she closes herself off even more than I thought. Then again...she has grown up in the Hyuuga compound in less than enviable circumstances. So, closing off and hiding emotions makes sense. It doesn't make the awkwardness between us any better, though.
It...makes it worse, actually.
I...went to see Kakami-sempai and it was a good visit. I definitely needed it. I need to see Hawk my next break -- putting it off will only make it worse.
Note to self: Keep things slow and easy. Be receptive. Feel things out and don't push. One step at a time.

A card to Nejko -- delivered by Osamu and Isamu (the infamous twins) with a set of costume cat ears on each of them. (Isamu wore a purple set with the left ear cocked and the right ear straight up. Osamu wore a silver set with the left ear straight and the right ear's tip cocked only at the tip.)
