My mom asked me to write my sister an essay for a scholarship. After alot of arguing, I relented and wrote this. Enjoy. (It really picks up in the 2nd paragraph, trust me).

Scholarship Essay
Since my early childhood I have dreamt of becoming a veterinarian. Unlike most children with similar aspirations I have never lost sight of my goals. In pursuit of this dream, I work very hard to maintain my honor roll status in addition to a number of other responsibilities, including my role as captain of the cross country team and volunteering as the junior leader for the Southbury Horse and Livestock Association .The veterinarians I have known have in my life have acted as mentors to me. I work very closely with them in the treatment of my own pets while learning the hands on approach that will help ensure my success in my career as a veterinarian. I will be doing volunteer work at Fairfield Equine this summer shadowing an equine practitioner in her daily rounds. My part time job at Top of the Hill Percheron’s helps to offset my daily expenses while also providing me with new experiences in animal care and their training.
I am a fucking retarded bitch who can’t bother to write an essay to help me go to college, instead letting my mother do all the work while she bitches at my brother and wastes time using his computer, downloading various viruses and spyware onto his computer. I am a sore on humanity, as my six animals I patently neglect and force my brother to take care of because I’m too busy…watching Happy Feet for the eighth time (it’s a pretty good movie actually)…can attest to. But hey, Penguins are animals, and I like them, so I figure that means I’d make a good vet. I run cross country and horses run…so that’s kind of along the same lines right? Med school requires a lot of hard work, focus, and determination, and I think I show that I am focused and determined by how I never waver from ignoring repeated requests to clean the cat’s litter boxes. My dogs could be dead in the basement right now, unfed, unwatered and laying in their own filth in a cage that hasn’t been opened since I left for Florida, but that doesn’t bother me. This would help me as a vet because a vet is going to face the death of animals all the time, better to desensitize yourself as much as possible. My boyfriend and I go to the zoo occasionally, appropriately before long coming scholarship due dates. This shows I’m not afraid to relax and catch my breath under pressure, something that will be vital in a high stress situation like an animal about to bleed to death without quick action.
In case you can’t tell, I didn’t write this essay. My brother did. This is what I feel would most make me a great candidate for a scholarship, because it shows how my goals of eventually running my own veterinarian practice have already begun to take fruition: I delegate lesser tasks to my underlings.
