Watch the clouds fall from the sky, this river is wild
Work's been going great, despite working weekends the next few weeks. I was at VS today to pick up tapes and saw Tava Smiley on a live feed, and it made me want to be back in Reno shooting BBQ again. She was the actress I hinted about before. She was a sweetheart. And she was in an episode of Walker Texas Ranger! Hopefully she'll be there for the next season.
Been in a very Killers mood lately. The new album is mostly to blame. I can see alot of people being turned off by the new style they've adpoted, but since it's their second album I embraced it (after some initial hesitation), and I love the damn thing as much as the first album. It has more of an 80's rock vibe than the first album, which was more of an 80's new wave vibe. On more than a few songs I thought I was listening to Spingsteen, Bowie, Meatloaf, U2, and even Big Country. Fantastic.
I'm writing a new novel. Without giving much away, it's about the death of magic in a fantasy world, and the vacuum that creates. Basically the whole thing is an excuse to have a sex scene with a hot elf. I'm just kidding. Sort of.
Went to Saranell's for New Years. I can't remember the last time I felt so relaxed and had such a good time. I played Guitar hero for the first time. Wallet began to cry soon after. Bought booze. Got hugs. Some girl drank "special juice" and was f'ed up all night. Didn't eat anything but Milano's and cookies all day. I shouldn't have had as good a time as I did, but I did. Wild. The company had alot to do with it, I'm sure.
Seeing Children of Men in a bit. Woo.
