What /is/ Vin Deisel Doing?

So many Nerdcore albums seem to be dropping at the moment!

Z reports on some more, two of which I have checked out: Dr Awkward's first full length album Unlimited and an chiptuned death metal concept album by Norrin Radd, Anomaly.

The latter doesn't really do much for me. I'm not that much of a fan of death metal anyway, and this mostly instrumental effort doesn't really do anything above and beyond the parent genre, and in fact lacks a lot of the punch.

I love Dr Awkward's Next Gen EP. While Unlimited has several great tracks, overall as far as my future listening will go, it's another EP with some filler tracks. This is very much a matter of personal taste; I think every filler track could be a killer track if they were remixed with more aggressive beats and rhymes. Mellow hip-hop struggles for purchase in my musical headspace. This response to a Scrub Club album seems to be becoming a pattern. I thought Kabuto's EP had a better killer/filler ratio than his LP too.

Accordingly, here's a track from that EP, the somewhat programmatic "Geekquilibrium':

My copy of The Digital Gangster LP (MC Lars and Ytcracker) arrived today too, so there's at least one more nerdcore post in the near-ish future.
