Contrary to the opinion of some quarters, Lady Death was not the most dire 'anime' that I have ever watched, but it was certainly the most clichéd. Almost every single line was replete with over-used Hollywood phraseology. One can truly despair when one realizes that the screenplay was the responsibility of Carl Macek - almost equally reviled and admired (depends on which side of the fence you stood) by those in the western world who watched anime.... although I suspect that the weight of opinion would be that Macek has single-handedly butchered anime in his attempt to make it more (American) mainstream and accessible for western audiences.
Lady Death... she looks like a Marvel super hero(ine), and she sheds her clothes in much the same way. Anyway, I'm sure
harlzen will have his own pithy review up soon, and yes, I admit, it was entirely my fault we watched it. :P
