Environmental Policy in the Public Imagination: Female prof., she seems very passionate about the topic, mainly because it's a topics class and so she came up with the idea and presented it to SIS. It's going to be very reading intensive, but seems like it'll be a doable amount of work. Verdict: lots of work but should be good.
Formation and Implementation of Environmental Policy: Male prof., he's pretty interesting so far, we're going to get to do environmental policy trivia, a bit too much focus on US policy, but then again it's a Government course and not SIS. I know for a fact that one of the kids in that class is going to drive me up a wall, as he started attacking the Kyoto Protocol the first day of class, calling it corrupt. Verdict: seems interesting, but we'll see.
We'll see how long all that lasts. An update on classes later in the semester.
Work: When 2 Work (our scheduling program) keeps scheduling me for the same hours, and that includes 10 hours in a row on Mondays and a shift on Thursdays during class. I'm really pissed off at it, and intend to write a letter to Kat and the rest of the higher ups. They had better let us do a real scheduling meeting before the schedule becomes finalized for the semester. Otherwise I am so done with working here. Things with the DC have gone from bad to worse. He is never here. And he isn't training the new DRs very well or at all.
I'm currently working on a story, and tossed around ideas with an English major, one of my friends from home, and got some good feedback. However, the biggest challenge will be to actually get things on paper. Most of my stories faulter in the ideas stage.
