I've been too busy to have time updating this journal for a while, but if not now, then when?
In February 2013, I sold my first story, a horror story called "Parasiten" ("The Parasite"), to Swedish indie publication Eskapix (
http://www.eskapixpress.se/), which publishes a couple of hardbound horror/dark fantasy anthologies a year. My fee is 100 SEK and a free copy of the book. Which, you know, isn't marvellous, but still the first time I've been paid for writing.
This isn't strictly the first time I've been published. In 2007, I went to semi-finals in televised Swedish writing competition "Slutet på historien" ("End of Story") with my contribution, an ending to a short story started by Jonas Hassen Khemiri. I've also won an online writing competition organised by Ann Helen Avinasha (if I got your name wrong, I apologise; I don't have the source here) with my short story "De offrades öar" ("Islands of the Sacrificed").
Yes, I brag. But what else am I to do?
