60 degrees and maybe wannabe rainy

humid as all get out. I love this weather. Even if I'm the only one. Even if it's eerie in it's total and utter lack of 'january'の感じ.
I love it.

very strange dreams, involving floating downriver on a mattress (complete with sheets, comforter and 2 or 3 pillows) with 5 or 7 other people, invasions, undercover missions staying in castles-turned-hotel, and Chinese fairy tales.

nihongofrancais successfully left yesterday (as in, I saw her to the bus, and then got a call, so I know she didn't die on the plane home)
Already it seems so long ago, simply because the 雰囲気 was so different with her around.
Good times. ^_^ v And hopefully she also enjoyed herself.

Once, in weather like this, but maybe a touch colder, maybe a touch more grey, hopping the train--JR 山手 line--to Shinjuku with katrinastrife to ぶらつく and kill a couple hours. Ending up (Were our feet tired? Was it cold out? Maybe it was too hot. I don't remember now) sitting in the Starbucks on top of the eki and watching all the people go past. It was so crowded, and securing the table took the skills of a first-class vulture.
Time may be linear for humans, but memory is anything but.

After nihongofrancais's bus came, I figured I'd walk the block and a half to the grocery store and do some food-shopping. Bought cheese, some Odwalla bars (katrinastrife, check your mail in a week or so [I haven't got to the post office yet]), beef, and five pounds of the smallest potatoes I've ever seen.

One of my favourite things is watching mist curl off water. The beautiful mystery of it lends it an air of magic old as time.

Eventually I got home and after a much longer nap than I'd intended, did homework until 9:30 or so. Then Aliza, Annalisa and I took advantage of the pretty that nihongofrancais left and watched till the 4th and 5th episodes of Tatta Hitotsu no Koi (Annalisa claims she had to go sleep for church).
Yay! for church in the afternoon!
