Very nearly accidentally shoplifted 9v batteries. I was actually literally out the doors (the CVS is in a mall-area, and don't really have door doors, at least, not during business hours) when i went to look at the receipt and realized I didn't have one, but instead still had the 20 I'd walked in with. So I scurried back inside and paid for them. mortifying, and very nearly illegal.
I had really been looking forward to getting to be the person in the back of the audience falling asleep during the Commissioner's big meeting today, but Sandi roped me in to helping out during again *sigh*
Other than that, I was in about 5 hours of meetings today--first, a SRA corporate meeting the director of our sector (we've got two big sectors) came to give, which ran over, and so i had just enough time to get up to the next meeting, which was our new Commissioner Vicki's 'hi, i'm here and settled in, and this is what we'll be focusing on for the next four to eight years' meeting. Mostly Sandi did a good job; a couple times she was kind of snappish from stress, but that's ok, since I knew what i was doing. Vicki gave me and Nancy B shout outs for making her presentation and doing a good job on it.
And i realized, as I ran yet another person's powerpoint presentation, that I've been running other people's presentations for 10 years now.
When I got back from the second meeting (which went over by 40 minutes), I came to find a long email from my best friend in high school whom i'd pretty much lost touch with, so, *pleased!*
It is like, seriously cold today. well, not for winter, but for september, it sure feels that way! Since rocksizedheart and i have dropped our two-days a week japanese lessons down to once a week for the next little while so Tego's come over for us to watch tv. \o/ tv~
