pink in the cheeks
it was a beautiful day today. still a bit nippy when i walked to church, but by the time i left, it was go-outside-able weather.
so the plan for the day was to do my laundry and to beta beta beta because i've had tinyangl's fic far too long (actually, both nihongofrancais and therelic have scolded me about it *shamefaced*), but on the way to church i noticed a text from rocksizedheart suggesting getting a coffee and/or going to Hmart, and we got the coffee and sat out in the sun and talked about random stuff for...several hours. The coffee was excellent, served by a local coffee shop in Clarendon (though they seem a bit snobby about their coffee.) It was too crowded to sit inside, but it was a nice day anyway.
Then we stopped by the Harris Teeter in ballston (never did get to Hmart) and picked up a few things, and then i'm back. where half my laundry (spread out over the table) is halfway dry, and the last load is in the washer, and i've got to beta beta beta away.
the issue with my dryer not working is not such a big deal when most of my shirts are hang-dry anyway, but is much less convenient when i do my bedsheets and bathmats and things like that. The bathmat (which i washed yesterday morning, around 10am) is still wet, and it's been "drying" for the past nearly 36 hours or so.
Yesterday Tego came over and we caught up some more on our shows and made fried rice (and knocked over the soy sauce, so it kind of boiled around the edge of my wok stand. that'll be fun to clean). She brought over the package my mom had shipped to me (through tego, because i haven't filled out my condo paperwork yet), and I gave back her tupperware from when we made the cookies. therelic called as well.
I should figure out how to hook the headset up to my phone.
TWA Adds a New Twist. This is really one step forward, two steps back as far as I'm concerned. The birthdate stuff makes sense, because it means less regular people get hassled because they had unimaginative parents. but the random gate-checks, what the fuck?
I was also good yesterday and went to the bank and deposited some checks, but forgot to check to see if they had DC quarters.
