edit 2: holy shit. i just spent any down time i had amongst tasks all this morning reading that article and i loved it. not only was the subject stimulating, but the writing was enrapturing. or at least i was enraptured. ;)

that bit about him being the only real one, and everyone else being ghosts was a very strong image. That's not the part that got me, but I think it's the part that set me up for it. I think part of it was that it was written so that I empathized with all the major players in the article. The part about how he said that he was anxious about playing because no one was under any obligation to care, that he got to the point where he wasn't even expecting accolades anymore, all he wanted was someone to look at him and show that they realized that there was indeed a guy playing a violin in the station ( ... )

Well, i don't want it to be all-consuming. I mean, if 6 people joined in a round, then you'd write 1 relatively short fic sometime during the span of 6 weeks. I mean, these next few weeks promise to be absolutely crazy for me, but I think i'll be able to manage. before and after your fic is done, you can just kick back and see what other people do.
