yeah, totally not worth the effort. Dude, if going and buying actual wrapping paper was too much trouble, what makes you think I'm going to decorate anything? esp. since I'm going for the free food.
I thought about using a bag, but. I (and this is really kind of shameful for pack-rat me) didn't have have any lying around. except a teeeny victoria secret one (which the present wouldn't fit in), and a see-through seen-better-days ann taylor loft one, which was see-through (defeats the purpose) and kind of beat up.
But stillesprite gave me a book cover from behind the circ desk, and now i just have to try to make it into a bag or something .... without scissors or tape.
You loserface. I try and help, and this is the thanks I get? Fine. Be that way. (though now that I think about it, I was totally operating on the "she's home and doesn't have time to go out and buy wrapping paper" assumption, rather than "she's at the library trying to pretend that she can still call this hiatus") Hooray for stillesprite! She always manages to come through on these things. Though it's a real shame about the Victoria's Secret bag. That would have been humorous.

that's because you didn't come shopping with us in Japan. the striped ones don't do it for me, but i am totally serious about liking them.
it's probably a combination of things coming together. 1) I don't like pantyhose. Never have, probably never will. Knee-highs aren't bad, but my prederiliction for shorter skirts means sometimes they look funny and besides, my knees get cold. 2) i have a thing for lace. it's cute and feminine but also kind of dark and edgy. 3) i will, on occassion (in places i feel safe), totally dress up to see how many catcalls i can get on my way from one place to another. 4) I always always always wanted those goth-loli-esq thigh highs with the ribbons since the first day i saw them. I just thought I would feel too ridiculous wearing them to, well, actually wear them. I think i've gotten over that feeling/the fact that they're not automatically associated with big big frilly dresses and bonnets here makes me feel better.
