down for the count
last night, after Aunt Amy & Uncle Jackson went to sleep, the jianjian popped down the pop-up half of us were to sleep on. We couldn't figure out how to get it back up again, despite a good 20 minutes trying and a lot of lifting.
It goes up against the daybed, and like that, can probably comfortably sleep four (assuming the person on the outside doesn't roll around a lot). Popped down, it's kind of like steps, and really only effectively sleeps one per level. jianjian was gonna sleep with Annie on the daybed, which is marginally wider, as penance for her mistake.
But, like that, it was too hot for her, and she kept waking up in panicked sweats, thinking she was being smothered.
We had to ask Aunt Amy to put it back up today. (;-_-)
lunch was at a Togo's/Baskin Robbins. I haven't had iceceam in ages. And certainly not B&R.
Dinner was Chinese, but good.
Tiffany who's taking the summer off (she's a teacher; she's allowed) took us three out to lunch and some shopping today. Clearance section @ old navy scored me a pretty kirakira T; and the regular sections, which were semi-on sale today, got me a pretty purple tank top. I tried them on over my collared shirt, because I was too lazy to go try them on.
Then we went to some fancy dress store and horrified annie with some of the most amazingly ugly dressed I've seen since senior prom. Surprisingly enough (can you feel the sarcasm? I'm swimming in it), she declined trying any on, and, after Tiff attacked her with a glowing neon-green feather boa, we decided to leave.
Annie's knee wound is mostly dried out and kind of disgusting. It also always seems to come up for show and tell during mealtimes.
halfway through one translation about 和菓子 and a fourth of a way through one on 日本茶。すき焼きの記事を出したばかりのに。そして、サプリの７つめの見るはず。
Dad&el Markster come out the 18th (at which time sleeping arrangements get more complicated. or at least crowded), and then Aunt Kim and Lau Yi leave the 20th. I think there are plans to go to Yosemete on the 19th. Aiyah.
