and it turned out to be 401(k) retirement plan information. And it was from my new employer; Wayport if I haven't already said

Let me point out this is EXACTLY what I was going through and doing when I got that corporate position and I wasnt online, didnt have time to chat or really even get online period.

sure, I understand ... but the difference is that although I haven't sent a message to you personally, I am doing my best to keep people appraised of my situation. Most of the people that are important to me are here on LJ, and it's an easy matter for me to update them all at once with a post, rather than mailing each of them individually.

That's all water under the proverbial bridge, though.

I have struggled with a response to this all day; it's been in the back of my head wanting me to say something, but I'm sure exactly what. This thread is between you and baneplase, so I really have no place commenting anyway.

I'm going to satisfy this strange urge by saying that there are times when I highly desire to choke the living daylights outta the both of you! (which of course would be followed by heart-felt hugs!)

I found the same thing when I worked as a secretary -- well, in all but one of my jobs -- that the employers respect you and expect you to stick around and advance through the company.
