Sometimes I love myself best alone. Do this long enough you get a taste for it
It’s been quite the month.
-Overall it’s been so busy, so much work. Up until this past week I’ve been 6days a week and not loving it. Last week was my bday, happy bday to meeee. And I took 3 fucking days off and it was glorious. 2 concerts and 2 nights spent with my lovely Mariah. The first night was Snotty Nose Rez Kids and that was fucking rad, so much fun, plus I really loved the one opener Lex Leosis and DJ Kookum was spinning some super fun hiphop between sets. So much energy and positive vibes. Then day 2 was a big drive to Toronto, a nostalgic subway ride and dinner with Benj. Then a beautiful, breathtaking, ethereal Tori Amos performance. She played some goodies, Bliss and Little Amsterdam and Time and Girl were highlights, plus the opening duo of Juarez and Bouncing Off Clouds is so good, plus A Sorta Fairytale, and her burst of “Fuck off” and “Sweetiepie, no” at the dude trying to get people to sit down in the middle and then going back perfectly into it, so excellent. So it was a beautiful couple days, and so much fun with my dear Mariah.
-Back to work, they celebrated my 15th anniversary of working there, with balloons and cupcakes and a $100 gift card. It was lovely and made me kinda overwhelmed and emotional.
-BD had 10 days off and it was a lot to keep up, and then it was straight into leagues and tournaments and I’m still stressed. There’s not enough hours in my shifts to do everything at work and all the extra shit too. But having 2 days off a week if def helping my sanity. Plus I really need to get down on my first aid course stuff. There’s a online portion to be completed before the in class part June 8th, and I’m less that half way through. Fuck.
-Need to go vote, I want to get my advance vote in because the actual day of I have a long af shift.
-Our Flag Means Death is probably the best new show I’ve seen in a very long time. So good, may rewatching it soon.
-New Stranger Things is out but I need to rewatch to know what the fuck is going on
-Also finally getting around to Russian Doll new season, but again rewatching the first season, it’s been so long.
