So it is gorgeous here. My classes start June 7th, and when I mention that I'm getting Korean, the usual response is, "OOOH, Sorry." Several folks arrived from Ft. lost in the woods this weekend and are getting Russian. I found that they scored significantly lower on their DLABs than did the folks slotted for Korean. Yeah, already married...and the Chaplain already gave us that particular speech...called it the Desperate Love Institute, though :)

I have no Idea where I'll be stationed, I have to complete the Korean course, then go to another AIT, then in about 2 years I'll go to my first unit...I'd assume I'd go to Korea, but some folks here (E-6 and above) have said that many folks in my MOS go to Iraq regardless of their language...

Kildar was pretty good, esp since I hadn't read anything in nearly three months...I just wish Ringo had more paperback's out, or Weber, or anyone I like for that matter:)

Where in S. America are you getting stationed?

98G hopefully, unless I wash out of the language then I'll be a 98C...I think. I'd love to be a 97E, but they weren't offering a language with your first tour when I signed up...so off to windowless buildings and headsets, or at least that's what I understand ( ... )
