I missed everything yesterday because I spent the entire day in the kitchen.
I made four batches, and the doughs for three others.
By the time I was done, it felt like my ankles were filled with ground glass.

James Caan, lovely. Mary Steenburgen, brilliant. The actors who played the little boy and the girl from Gimbels, wonderful. Ed Asner--one of the neatest Santas I've ever seen.
