Today is a WAH day, and I was sitting here minding my own business, and WHAM--the power went out (Paul posts about it
here as well).
It was So. Much. FUN. It was like being in school again, and cutting class! ;-) We weren't even gone that long--just long enough to snag some breakfast, but it made a world of difference.
The power's back, obviously--the PECO guy we saw working on the pole as we were leaving was leaving our neighborhood as we were getting back-- and I'm back to work, but it was a nice little interlude that was enough to invigorate the rest of the day.
There's something about taking the time to be human that makes the day seem more relaxed and happy.
It's actually been that way all day...
In the early, early morning, this is what our living room looked like...
I remember when I was a little kid, I used to lie under the Christmas tree and look at my distorted features in the Christmas balls--which is why I didn't re-take this picture, or cut it out...
And this was one of my shadowy companions...
In the kitchen...
And once the sun came up, the feeders out back were an explosion of chicadees and gray tits and cardinals and streaked sparrows....
Yeah...my life sucks...;-)
