Grandiose dreams

My Wallace is getting to be an old, old man. He smells funny most of the time, in that way of very old dogs. He's going blind, I think, and doesn't hear very well anymore, and is given to arthritic joint aches from time to time. He has taken to sleeping under the bed rather than on it, because he can no longer make the jump
