It's official. Ansel was chomping on my fingers tonight and I felt the edge of a tooth. I got a quick look and, yes indeed, there is a little tooth poking through. I thought he'd get a top tooth first because there is a visible curve to the gum there in the shape of a tooth, but the one I found tonight was on the bottom.

They weren't joking when they said it was messy. Whoo. At this point he's more finger painting than eating with the foods I've offered him, but he seems to be getting a kick out of getting food like us instead of just toys when we sit at the table together ( Read more... )

Last night I put some yams in the oven so I could offer Ansel some when we sat down to dinner. Then he decided to go down for the night a little after 5 pm, totally sleeping through dinner and only semi-waking to nurse until about 5 am this morning. Maybe we'll try again tonight.

Ansel was hanging out in his activity center this evening when a tennis ball rolled off of my desk. Our older cat, May, saw the ball move and rushed over to play with it. She plopped over on her side and hugged the ball, kicking it with her back feet. Ansel laughed and laughed. He just loved that. Ahhh, it was so fun. Mac took a video and I'll ( Read more... )

Ansel rolled over onto his stomach twice yesterday. Once he got there he got mad because he dislikes being on his stomach and hasn't figured out how to get onto his back again.
