The word "Humanity", well it's certainly one word I tend to overuse. Most likely because the extreme lack of it impedes my subconscious and prevails in my waking interests. It's is by no means something I have conquered, rather it's something I feel it is my duty to develop in myself as an example, however bad or good I am at it, we need more of it around us.
When I hear this word used in general context, it seems to be taken or thought of as this elevated concept that we are some how disassociated from. Like its something so abstract and we might as well accept the notion that we cannot touch it.
Humanity is us - we are humanity - human entities. The only thing that does truely seperate us from humanity is how we view it and as a collective, how we practice it.
I do not mean do say I see no humanity whatsoever, but when I see a Bush/Cheney sticker on a car, I gotta ask myself,
"Where's the humanity?"
