Time Lords and Turtles

So, I have made it through War Games. So sad! oh my goodness. The whole toying with my mind with all the fake-out deaths for Doctor and Jamie, all the mind games going on within the show, feeling really bad for Carsters for all the side-switching he underwent (i did like him....) and so much more. And i cried like a baby when the Doctor said good bye to Jamie. I was a little teary by the time he and Zoe said farewell, but Jamie! oh, Jamie! you broke my heart. As did the Doctor, with that sense of doom he had for the last 2 episodes. And then Jamie said "I'll never forget you, you know." I was a goner. and then the Time Lords really ticked me off when they arranged for Zoe and Jamie to only vaguely remember the Doctor, after all they had been through with him, and despite how close they had grown. So, so very sad.

on the plus side, my heart leapt when David Troughton appeared on screen for a few brief but wonderful moments about halfway through the serial. I love that man. He has the most wonderful eyes.

Spearhead from Space was also amazing. Yay Pertwee!! He is definitely my favorite Classic Doctor thus far. As i said before, i thoroughly enjoyed the daring wheelchair escape, and his obsessive need for his shoes, and the eyebrow thing, and so many other things about him, really. And the way he exploded that lock was just cool. He really looked like a magician, especially with that frock coat with the red satin lining.

I cannot wait now to move along with Pertwee, but for now my priority will be Ten, as i need to catch up with the rest of the world and figure out what the heck is going on with Ten "dying" (from what i remember of the sci-fi teaser) and what's happening with Rose. I'm not sure how long i'll be able to take the suspense!!!!

In other news, I am babysitting our friend's turtles and fish while they're away in Michigan, so that's fun and easy. yay for easy cash!

Also, we saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D yesterday. FanTastic! I fell in love with Brendan Fraser all over again. It had been so long since i had seen him in anything, i had forgotten how incredible he is. And tall. He is a tall man. And, by the way, he makes spelunking/repelling sexy. that and all the other awesomely cool action-hero-y stuff he gets to do. but yeah...good movie. and not just because of Fraser, but he definitely helps, too.

And I suppose that about wraps it up. I am going to the mall today to get my ring size checked... ^__^

So, yeah. In the words of Porky Pig (but more eloquently stated)

That's all, folks!

ten, reptilians, two, actors i like, three, my wonderful friends, doctor who, movies
