Robin, you are fantastic. truly. i finally got those dvds, and i must say, you went above and beyond the call of duty. my hero for ever! i was home alone, and i could not wait to watch them, but once i opened up the envelope, i honestly did not know where to begin. becuase you are that amazing. so, i eventually decided Time Crash was as good a place to start as any. yay for sound *and* picture!!! so i am going to assume that The Enemy Within will be just as good. then i think i watched the first episode of The Visitation.
I. Love. Five.
He is quite amazing. The suit, the celery, the hair, the way he shows affection by yelling at people (at least as far as Adric (which, i must say, is a pretty awesome name) is concerned), and the way he reacted when ambushed in the forest, especially when he flipped that one guy over his shoulder or whatever it was he did. and so much more. and all it took was one episode! i don't know that he will beat out Three for my favorite Classic Doctor, but he is definitely a very close second. or maybe it's a tie. i suppose i 'll just have to watch more Five to be sure. darn it all. ;)
And speaking of Three, watching the first 2 episodes if Spearheads from Space caused me to completely fall in love with him all over again. he is still amazing me with how incredibly, dashingly handsome he is. and that tattoo. i do love the tattoo. and his wheelchair escape bit was the most hilarious thing i have seen in quite the while. leave it to Three to turn a wheelchair into an intense, action-hero-esque getaway vehicle! Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
After that amazingness, I realized that maybe the best place to start would be with the earliest, so then i got back into Two, and also fell in love all over again. I missed Jamie so! The Dominators was awesome, the Doctor was quite brilliantly funny when he was acting stupid. and the way he changed his voice in those scenes was really great.
So now, i am currently working my way through The Invasion. so far i am loving it. it's kind of strange to see Brigadier in black and white and not with Three, but i'm sure i will get used to it.
So, i'm pretty sure that was mostly all of what i meant to say. whew! that was a lot of ground to cover! but i cannot wait to see more of Two, Three, and Five. and also Eight, can't wait to meet him, as well.
Robin, i love you. i have something for you, by the way.
(how's that for a cliffhanger?)
