Well, after a week of being sick with a cold, and this week spent in a panicked whirlwind playing catch-up, I finally finished most of the Christmas errands. All of the cards are out (with a couple of stragglers that will be in the mail tomorrow), all the gift packages to our nieces and nephews, and homemade jams to family members have been sent, and as of last night, our Christmas tree is finally up *and* decorated. I was even able to finish the knitted wool shawl (more of a wrap, actually) for my MIL's gift, which will be blocked and ready for pickup from the cleaner's tomorrow.
As much as I love Christmas, it's always so stressful to get ready for it. Every year I promise myself to start shopping, Christmas cards, etc. earlier the following year, and somehow, I always end up in a last minute panic to get everything finished. I suppose this year I have an excuse, with being monstrously pregnant & all...but all the same, I still feel the pressure to get it all done. Does anyone else run into this problem?
Oh, well - now, I'm mostly done, and can finally relax and enjoy the holiday...unless the new little one decides to make an early appearance, of course (you never know!) :)
