"Congratulation Sakurai-san. Your idea of new regulation was getting accepted. As expected from to you."
Sakurai shook the hand that come to him. "Thank you, Taka-san. Anyway, it was our work together."
"Yeah, of course. The meeting to see the effect of the regulation will be start next week. Don’t forget."
"Of course I wouldn’t forget. As if I will miss it." Sakurai wrote it down on his phone.
"Ah yeah. Of course why should I said it."
"Anyway, I'll take my leave here. See you tomorrow."
Sakurai walked away, gave smile to his colleague just before he turned the doorknob someone yelled his named out. He turned to see Taka-san caught up to his place.
"What's wrong, Taka-san? Is there something you need to tell me?"
"I forgot to tell you that the press conference will be held tomorrow morning."
"I know it, the prime minister had said it. I was in the same room at that time, if you forgot."
"No no no. It's not like that. Of course I know you already knew about that. Don’t cut me, please."
"Than what? If you please can hurry up. I need to do something,"
"Hai Hai. It's just we will have a party at the night. And you must come."
"I'll pass. You know I never go to party."
"Oh please Sakurai. It's just a party. Well a glamor party. There won't cheap beers and it's a closed party, too. Only us and relatives. You should come. No, you must come. And if you can, bring your partner too."
Sakurai looked at his ring on his right ring finger. "Let's see tomorrow. See you."
Sakurai got out from his office, drove his car from the basement to his home. He took a glance to his wristwatch and chuckled. He took his bluetooth earphone and started to call someone.
"Moshi-moshi. Sho-chan?"
"Yes. It's me. Is your work already done?"
"Un. I'm just on my way out . Why?"
"Don’t go anywhere. I'll pick you up on the station near your office. I would like to eat dinner with you."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course. Ja..."
After he cut the line Sakurai called a restaurant to make reservation. He turned the wheel instead of going home he was going to Aiba's workplace.

Sakurai Sho one of the cleanest, diligent and successful politician in the country. He began his political career after he graduated from master degree of political science. And now he is part of the senator. About the ring did you think he is married? Well, obviously not. He hadn’t yet.
He is living with his partner, Aiba Masaki who worked as a lecturer in their university. Yes, they came from same the university. They met in the university when they took the same course in their Master degree, even their major is different. But they start dating after Sakurai got a 'position' in government and Aiba finished his doctoral degree and getting a job as lecturer. And now they are officially 5 years together.

Sakurai stopped his car in front of Aiba who were already waiting for him. Aiba looked at their surroundings before he went in to the car. He put his jacket in the backseat and kissed his partner.
"Hey!"
"Well, hey to you too, Sho-chan."
Sakurai started the engine and soon the car drove to the restaurant. "Why do you want to eat dinner in a restaurant? It is so unusual."
"Can't I take you out? You don’t want?"
"Sho-chan. It's not like that. It's just so sudden."
"Well, I'll tell you later."
Aiba only closed his mouth. He knew sooner or later Sho will tell him.
When they finally sat in the private room of their usual restaurant and waiting for their food it was when Aiba finally couldn’t take it anymore. "Tell me, Sho-chan!"
"Tell you what?"
"You have something that you want to tell me, right? That’s why you brought me here!"
"Well, I have a party, a close party. And I want you to accompany me there,"
"What? Are you serious?"
Just when Sho wanted to answer that, their food was coming. Well, of course their dinner came first. So, they postponed their talk until they were done eating their dinner.
Aiba wiped his mouth. "Ne, tell me, do you seriously want me to go with you to the party?"
"Yeah. I want you to go with me."
"Aren’t usually you pass the party? Why do you want to go to the party? Moreover, with me."
"This party is to celebrate my achievement, Masaki. Can't I go there? So people could acknowledge me and my hard work. And I want you to come. I want you to know all my colleagues and I want everyone to know who the one behind my back is."
"But Sho..."
"Ssst, don’t say anything. You know why I want you to go there when you watch the news tomorrow morning."
"Sho? Why are you so discreet? What is the new regulation? Since you work on this regulation you spoke nothing to me."
"Because I want to give you surprise,"
Aiba sighed he knew this time he needed to give up.
On (replaced in) the next morning Aiba who didn’t has any morning class woke up first and started to prepare their breakfast. He felt a strong arm hug him from behind. "Ara, you've woken up."
Sakurai noozled his nose in Aiba's crook. "I didn’t found you beside me."
"Why don’t you take a bath first? You have a press conference this morning right?"
"Alright. I'll take a bath."
Sakurai came out from their room wearing his work outfit already. A white shirt and black suit. In his hand he brought his bag. Sakurai put his jacket on the chair and they started their breakfast.
"Don’t forget to watch the news." Sakurai said as he was done eating.
"When will the press conference start?"
"I think around 9."
"Is that so? I'll watch it. I need to go at 11 cause I have class at 12."
"Then, I’ll take my leave first."
Aiba followed Sakurai until the genkan. Sakurai leaned in to kiss his lover. "Ittekimasu." Aiba smiles. "Itterashai."
Aiba set up the TV to record the news at 9 while he himself did the dishes and took a bath. When he was done he realized that it was already 8.45. Just before he turned the TV on his phone rang. Indicated there was a new email. He opened the email and found that one of his student needed to meet him. So he postponed the news with the thought that he already put it to record and probably could watch it later. Aiba changed his clothes and went to the university.
In the train - despite they are wealthy- Aiba still liked to use the train. Aiba emailed his lover that he couldn’t watch the news as something came up. And Sakurai soon replied saying it was fine because he will soon know it and he would say it on the party.
Sakurai’s party will start at 7. But Aiba's class will end at 5. And Sakurai, who is really busy today couldn’t pick him. So, Aiba used a taxi and started preparing himself right after he entered their apartment at 6. Sakurai entered their apartment when Aiba got out from bathroom.
"Oh, okaerinasai Sho-chan."
"Tadaima, I need to take a bath first." Sakurai said as he started to undress himself.
"I thought I will go alone and meet you there."
"Of course not. We will go together."
Aiba changed his clothes to something more fancy to go to the party and he also prepared Sakurai’s outfit. Aiba wore a baby blue shirt and dark blue blazer. While he prepared the same shirt for Sakurai he took instead of a dark blue blazer a beige color. Both of them wore white trousers.
"Oh, thank you for preparing my clothes Masaki." said Sakurai when he was done bathing and started to dress.
Aiba gave him a glass of water to calm him and Sakurai gladly accepted it. Although they knew the party will start at 7, they got out from their apartment at 6.45. Just hope they will not be late.
They arrived at 5 past 7. When they entered the hall it wasn't a party with a lot of people. That’s why when they entered, they became the center of attention.
"Oh, finally he came. Sakurai Sho, the one that strictly to persuade the executive to approve his idea." Taka, one of Sakurai’s colleague approached them.
Sakurai smiled as he made a way to the center where a lot of people were gathering.
"Here, you should be the one that make the toast." Taka gave him and Aiba a glass of their drink.
"Well, if you insist."
Sakurai held his glass up. "Of our hard work, and for new regulation! Cheers!"
They started drinking and literally they started the party. A lot of people came to Sakurai and congratulated him. And Aiba, who stood beside him was still clueless.
Aiba tugged at Sakurai's blazer. "Ne, Sho-chan. I still don’t know the new regulation. Why don’t you tell me?"
Sakurai turned his head and ready to answer but Tanaka, one of Sakurai’s colleague started talking.
"Finally you came to the party, Sakurai-san. So, he is the one?"
"Ah, yes, Tanaka-san, he is that person. Aiba Masaki, soon to be my husband."
Aiba buldge his eyes, "Sho! What are you saying?"
"Ah yeah. So, the new regulation is finally the executive approve of the idea of Same Sex marriage. Though it will be a experiment for a month, but still we can held our marriage."
Aiba closed his mouth due to shock. "Are you serious? You are kidding right?"
"He is not kidding. The regulation is approved by the press conference held this morning." Tanaka-san was the one that answered it.
In the next seconds, when he turned his sight to Sakurai, he found Sakurai's smiling face. "I was the one that started the idea of that regulation. When the regulation had been approved I wanted to be the first that held the same sex marriage in this country. So, be my partner on my marriage?"
Aiba felt the urge to cry. "Don’t cry in here. Or at least answer me first." Sakurai said easily.
Aiba bit his lips and started to laugh. "Hai Hai. Wakarimashita... Ja! Let's be the first couple?"
Sakurai hugged Aiba and made a warm embrace. Their surrounding started to applause and gave them their blessings.
"I want to be your partner till death took us apart." Sakurai whispered in Aiba's ear while hugging him.
"Me too. Let's stay together. I love you." Aiba whispered and smiled.

well acctually i planned to post this last sunday. but Uni's work took my time.
and since today is a holiday. i decided to post it today. Moreover, today i just watched a total solar eclips...
