A (Hopefully) Detailed Outline of "ICOE" 25

Yugioh   outline of chapter 25, "ICOE"
Honda/Arisa; Seto/Anzu; feat. Vivienne

The first scene stars Vivienne - Arisa's grandmother.  She flies in from France to help with the wedding.  I haven't decided if she'll go to their apartment or if they'll go pick her up at the airport.  I did okay with the scene where they picked up Rebecca from the airport, but I'm not sure that I can be as detailed as I'd like to be without getting boring.  Er...  I don't know, actually.  That confused even me!  Let's think.  What I have written already involves Vivi just taking a cab to their apartment.  If she only speaks French (or wants to keep up the pretense that she only speaks French), is that believable?  Hmm.  I'd probably have to rewrite the dialogue if I wanted to do that, and that would be DIFFICULT.  Blah.  Oh!  Okay, perfect compromise.  (Though I'm still not sure why I have something against describing the airport.)  Honda can wait at home, and Arisa can go get her grandmother by herself.  I like it!  Perfect.  Vivienne doesn't seem to like Honda very much when she firsts meets him (she's a crochety time), but she doesn't try to stop the wedding or anything.  That would be too much drama, and I don't even like it much to begin with.

As I mentioned, I already have a short version of this scene written.  Here's the link:  Vivienne&Honda.  Yah!  Hee hee.  To get the translation of the French (unless you happen to know French, and then you should volunteer to help me write Vivienne), just click "Next Entry" and you'll be taken off to a lovely land of, erm, English.  Yeah.  Heh.

The second scene is pretty short, I think.  Er...  Something like that.  (Guess I won't know until I write it.)  Vivienne is out sight-seeing (or doing whatever things of interest Domino has to offer), and Arisa goes out to lunch with Mai.  They talk about Honda and Jounouchi - Arisa might go on about her excitement over the wedding, and Mai might mention Jounouchi's paranoia about his sister and the Otogi situation.  Mai kinda dismisses it - she thinks that probably nothing happens, and at the very least Shizuka's a big girl.  Arisa asks if Mai and Jounouchi are ever planning to marry; Mai just laughs in her face and gives an emphatic "no".  Then Mai mentions overhearing plans for the bachelor party - including (mainly) the stripper.  Arisa's pretty incensed - she was very clear that she didn't want a stripper there.  Heh.  I want somehow to work it out so they trick the guys into hiring a male stripper.  So far, I'm at a loss.  I think Mai could maybe trick Jounouchi if she played it right, though - he's not exactly the most difficult guy in the world to dupe.  Heh.  That's funny.

Finally!  In scene three we get some more Seto/Anzu goodness.  I don't really have a whole lot for this scene; all I know is that they leave for a short vacation.  Work's calmed down a little for Seto, so he takes a little time off (and of course, the term "time off" is used VERY loosely) and decides to whisk Anzu away to an exciting little romantic getaway.  Er...  Or something like that.  Heh.  I think I'll have them go to New York City.  I just got back about a week and a half ago (or something like that), so at least I've seen the city recently.  I'm hoping that I can make the trip halfway believable.  Heh.  I might mention Mokuba, just to set up for - ahem - a little sort of happening in the next chapter.

Well!  That's it.  I tried to include as much detail as I could.  (I'm REALLY excited about this chapter all of a sudden.  Heh.)  Obviously this isn't all that happens, just a basic overview.  I usually add all the details while I'm writing.  Heh.  Okay!  Off to finish chapter 21.  *crosses fingers*
