Dragonball Z very beginning of new one-shot
Vejita/Bulma
-Story Notes/Ideas/Etc.
Summary: [Piccolo sighed. "Isn’t the act of physical union necessary for human procreation?" Chichi nodded hesitantly, confused. "Then it may be beneficial to tell your husband that."]
Goku gets lots of weird plans to help Trunks "get born". First he thinks marriage is important- so he tries to get Bulma to get married to ANYONE. (Ha! Or is that making him too stupid?) But that doesn’t work- for obvious reasons. Hee hee hee. Then he’ll realize that Vejita is necessary, so he’ll start trying to get the two to spend lots of time together. Piccolo catches on to the "brilliant" plan, and that’s when he says what’s in the summary. Yes. Ha ha ha. So then I guess Goku’ll realize how a baby is REALLY born, and he’ll go from there. Er... Admittedly, I don’t have that much for this yet, but I’m sure I’ll get some more ideas. I just want it to be funny, and Goku trying to play match maker for anyone is bound to be hilarious. I’ll start writing this soon.
Ok, I really like the idea of this, but I’m not sure how to start and where to go from there. I know the funny stuff I want (mostly), like Goku trying to get Bulma married. I guess I could start it like the other one... Yeah! Sort of similar. That’s good. Hmm... So first off he’ll try to get Bulma married. He’ll try to forward her relationship with Yamcha - and that will turn out BADLY. That’s when Yamcha ends up cheating on her, I think. He might try the marriage thing a little more. Then Goku figures out that Vejita is necessary, so he tries to get them married, by dropping obvious hints about wedding cake and flowers and veils and things. But then Piccolo will notice something’s up and figure out what Goku is doing. He’ll try to discourage the loveable idiot, but it doesn’t work. So Piccolo goes and tells Chi-Chi what’s going on, and then she tries to explain to Goku where babies come from. (I know... That’s making him a total idiot. But it’s so funny! Heh heh.) Then he gets REALLY confused and starts on different schemes with Bulma and Vejita that involve storks and cabbage and gardens and ovens and all kinds of things. Geez, this is hilarious already! Ha ha. And of course Vejita is going to get all suspicious - I mean, who wouldn’t? Yeah. Hmm, and maybe Goku can hint to them that they’re meant to be together. Yeah, like having candlelight dinners and stuff. Ooh, and sending roses. OH! TO VEJITA! Yes, I am brilliant. Heh heh heh. Oh man... This is gonna be good. Oh! And I figured out something else. Well, I think I’m going to have Bulma explain everything to Goku. Well, by everything I mean where babies actually come from. That’s great. And he’ll accidentally let something slip, saying something like "I can’t get Vejita to do that!" Yeah, so Bulma will have no idea what he’s talking about. And the reason Goku talks to her in the first place is because, well... I haven’t gotten this part worked out perfectly. But I think Gohan will be worried because his dad’s been acting weird, so he aks Bulma to talk to the guy so she can find out if anything’s wrong. Then Goku will say that Chi-Chi wants another baby, but he’s tried everything and she hasn’t gotten pregnant. Oh, and he’ll say it in such a way that Bulma’ll be like "What do you mean everything?" And that’ll come out that he has no idea where babies come from. But he can’t reveal anything that’ll let Bulma know that’s what he’s been doing to her. Oh! He can say "Well... Everything except seen the stork. But I don’t know what a stork is." And then she’ll know. Heh. So she’ll explain it to him. Oh! And eventually she’ll talk to Chi-Chi to say something along the lines of good luck, and Chi-Chi’ll think her husband wants a baby so that’s how the second son (ha... a pun) comes about. Ooh, I am GOOD! Heh.
After "the mysterious purple-haired youth" had left, all the Z-fighters went off to their respective training grounds to prepare for the coming threat. The androids, if he hadn’t been exaggerating, were going to be their biggest challenge yet, and everyone wanted to be prepared so the earth wouldn’t meet the same fate it had been cursed with in the future.
Well... almost everyone cared about the fate of the world. Son Chi-Chi, however, wasn’t interested in androids, or the destruction of the planet, or anything remotely related to training and fighting. No matter how Goku pleaded with her, she refused to understand.
Which was how he got kicked out of his own house one day, after trying to insist that he and Gohan train through what Chi-Chi dubbed "homework time".
"And you just think about that, Son Goku," she said viciously. "What will happen if our son can’t get a job? Do you want to have to support both him and me when you’re old and wrinkly and you can’t fight anymore? He’s getting an education, and don’t you dare try to stop him!" And with that, she slammed the door in his face.
Goku winced.
"Gosh," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "What am I supposed to do now?" He could always train by himself, he realized. After all, training was training, and if he could get stronger on his own then maybe when Chi-Chi let him train with Gohan again, he could help his son get even stronger. And, if he happened to get bored or lonely being by himself, he could always go see Vejita.
Goku laughed at his own thought. "Vejita? Heh- I don’t think Vejita would be very happy about me asking to spar with him." Suddenly he gasped. "Oh man, I totally forgot! Trunks!" He clapped a hand to his forehead in alarm. "He’s got to be born!"
He couldn’t believe that he had given no thought to the boy since the warning about the androids had been given. But without Trunks, no one could be warned at all- because Trunks had done the warning! Armed with that logic, Goku began the arduous task of thinking.
So he thought.
And he thought.
And as the day went by, he continued to think. When finally he stopped, a sort of a plan had been formed in his mind. Since he was the only one with the knowledge, it was up to him to insure Trunks would be born. And how to go about doing that? Well, he knew a few things: Bulma was going to be having the baby, Chi-Chi had also had a baby, and he and Chi-Chi were married.
"Well that’ll be easy!" Goku announced happily. "All I have to do is get Bulma married!"

Heh. This isn't like my other one, with Vejita's foul mouth every other word or so - in fact, it's mainly Goku based. I know, I know - I dumbed him down a little. (A little? Suuure. Heh.) But I like the idea. And I've always loved the Trunks storyline - I based the Benvolio line in my GCS on that. Heh. *wink*
