The Wedding

Lucy had spent a long time planning the wedding - the first time round she'd had very little dealings in her own wedding, the affairs had been taken care of by other people. This time Lucy was adament she would have everything her own way, that it would be her day rather than something just for the press and the politicians ( Read more... )

I forget, do you play 10? He'd make a good first man if he can get through it w/out too much trouble ofdrumsthesound December 31 2011, 00:25:44 UTC
The Master has scrounged up a suit and attempted to shave, but he has the same lunatic look in his eyes as ever and there are creepy dark circles under them. He's also giving each guest a once-over, unconciously trying to decide how he'd cook them if it came to that.

While he waits he chats quietly with the councellor for a bit, the only one who he's sure knows what kind of a monster he really is.

"I had to eat close to three times my own weight just to make sure I can keep from biting anyone, it's really quite aggrivating. But at least the neighbors won't be having loud parties late at night anymore, so it's not so bad."

I don't, but as we're writing prose you could always NPC him? an_adoring_wife December 31 2011, 00:33:11 UTC
Tom smiled at the Master, "Nice to see you're being so considerate. Joking aside though, Harold, you're a great couple. You're very lucky to have her - if you didn't then I would."

Meanwhile Lucy had finally finished changing and she felt wonderful. As they made their way to the church she began to recall the terror she'd felt when she'd married Harry the first time, how so much had changed since then. Now there was nothing she wanted more than to be joined to this man for eternity.

The wedding march began and Lucy Saxon started to walk down the aisle.

Would you, please? I'm really rubbish at NPCing, sorry. Being in the Master's mind is absorbing. . . ofdrumsthesound December 31 2011, 00:46:42 UTC
"Now don't get any ideas, or I'll be having you for dinner." But he's laughing.

When the wedding proper starts he stands there with a smile. He barely hears the drums under the joy and the music, and when Lucy gets close enough he takes her hand like he's afraid she'll disappear.

Lucy squeezed his hands reassuringly as they stood together. She beamed at him, radiant in a slim white wedding dress. The wedding began and Lucy repeated her vows to him with such honesty nobody could ever doubt her adoration for this man.

His isn't quite so heartfelt. He has a heart to spare, after all. But there is affection, and more than a little love. And the kiss is so very real.

And when the ceremony is over, he takes his wife to speak to a man standing in the corner. "Ah, so I do get around to sending you an invitation. Good.

"You may want to stick to the cake, by the way. You never know what the roast might be . . ."

Lucy gave the Master a playful slap.
"Harry!" she laughed, "Don't worry, he's joking. I wouldn't let him turn our guests into cannibals."

I can take a stab at it, don't know if I'll be any good though... an_adoring_wife April 22 2012, 14:54:49 UTC
Lucy nodded, "We came to a compromise."

The Doctor quirked an eyebrow but smiled, "Who'd've thought you two would be a good influence on each other, eh? S'nice though."

Lucy hesitated, but then decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. "Harry would like to see more of you, Doctor. We'd like you to come and visit us sometimes."

"We have a couple dogs, you might like them. And I promise not to kill anyone when you're around unless I actually have to." He smiles weakly. "It's the best I can do, but it's a start."

"You're trying, that's all that matters," the Doctor said. "I'm proud of you."

Lucy smiled, "We're both proud of you, Harry. Now come along, we should change into our other clothes for the party."

"Thank you, Doctor. I hope you enjoy the party."

And they go change.

Of course, the Master single-mindedly heads for the food as soon as they're back. "I hope everyone likes it, now lets dig in!"
