In other news, i'm buying really expensive Dance Dance Revolution controllers so we can party the life and the pounds away, my friends. Financial issues continue to inflame my family friction.
The Colts won the SuperBowl. i finally get what a touchdown means.
i'm growing. i saw 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' last night, too [first time]. Disturbed me. Don't like Kate Capshaw's character, but i think there's something special about her. i love that Spielberg loves her. The movie had a similar effect to the older 'The Wicker Man' ... i don't take well to the barbaric side of human nature or societies of more than 50 people, cruelty seems inherent when crowds try to gain catharsis from chaos.
Crowd problems aside, new crowd pleaser: a new favorite Francesca Lia Block book 'Violet & Claire' ... it's about me and it's just about perfect. Beccie gave it to me. She makes my heart move. Last Tuesday night made me feel: Beccie, Hillary, Tim, Greg, me at Mary's making sweet silly fools of ourselves singing everything from TLC to Fiona Apple.
Speaking of crowds and Marys, i'm going to be in a play called 'Mary, Mary' as an heiress. It's directed by Stephen's mom, Marty.
Mary and i are looking forward to seeing 'The [Katherine Forrister/Sally Cone] Vagina Monologues' next Saturday.
Last Saturday i was re-elected the Associate Director for Recognition for the Georgia Residence Hall Organization. i'd like to make some good use of that.
i hope my old friends are alright.
My first best friend's wedding has been moved to the most inconvenient day possible and it appears i will not be going to New York. Would i really want to go without Tommy anyway? Maybe we'll go the weekend afterward.
i need to do some work and call Hillary. i miss Jeremy. i miss John-E. i miss Jada and Momma. i miss making meaningful work. Time to get on it. i need to iron out my majors and study for entrance to my Master's.
