Being totally idle for the past, what, two weeks? is taking its toll on me.

True I've had a few things to do. Watch daytime TV, listen to music, read, I've been out of the house a couple of times. I eat. A lot. I'm getting fat, too. And I have a growing obsession with my Sims.
The most significant event of the past week has been going to Sunset with Nicky, her aunt, and LinLin. What excitement. As exciting as being in a car with "Redneck Woman" playing full blast and everyone's singing along except you. I'm not complaining, though. It could be worse. I can be in total isolation all day in a tiny apartment that smells of split pea soup. Oh wait, that happens every day!
Today was quite crappy. Well, really the day itself wasn't bad. I was. I was in a horrible bitter mood since morning. It started when mom woke me up to go buy my school uniform.
You know, I really don't get it. I don't think we had such a big problem with dress code, why all of a sudden break high school tradition and decide to force everyone to wear hideously geeky ensembles? I mean, I understand the school's concern that people are gonna start wearing string bikinis or Mexican ponchos and nothing else, but jeez..
Next week I'm going to Puerto Rico for a nice adventurous escape. No hotel, no car, little money. I see a group of tourists lost in the rain, sleeping on the streets. Joy. I'm looking forward to it.
