I spent most of today reading. Because of a few major distractions and an inward desire to make the book last, I'm only on chapter 13 of Half-Blood Prince.
Last night flew by in a whirl of giddyness. First, going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which we were late for, then the tickets sold out, then finally we agreed on a rather late show on our clock, since we absolutely HAD to be in Borders by 10.
The movie was awesome, LinLin and I will be quoting it all week, as is customary when we see a movie we both like very much. (I still remember saying "Matt, it's Thriller!" for weeks.)
The midnight party wasn't as big a deal as I thought, though it was pretty crowded. I would have gone in a half-assed costume had I been able to find my silly witch's hat... :(
We were number 730 in line to get the book...But they passed through the numbers pretty fast, so it was only about 1 when we finally walked out of the bookstore. Not as many Harry Potter look-alikes as I thought there would be. In fact, I was rather looking forward to seeing tons of people dressed up. But I guess the Borders "party" wasn't nearly the biggest. From what I gather, Barnes and Nobles hosted a better one.
I'm still in shock over my AP score. I think the College Board is actually run by apes who found my magnificently dumb answers to be amusing. They wanted to boost my self esteem so I would take more AP classes and they'd be able to read more of my crap in the future.
