The week is finally winding down. And I will be exceedingly glad when this one is over, for a multitude of reasons. Mostly, two whole days to sit and do (almost) nothing. I do need to clean house, but that won't take the whole weekend. And then I can catch up on TV, call some friends, write some smut, play with the dog and the cats, maybe see a ( Read more... )

Three? And I thought I was rockin' with my two.

Well, I bought the TiVo over a year ago, and could record one thing at a time (and also couldn't record anything that overlapped by even a minute or two). Then my cable company came out with their very own DVR for the whopping price of about $5.00 added onto my cable bill per month. So, I got it. And it records TWO THINGS AT ONCE! So, between the two DVRs, three shows.

Shiney, huh?

I missed the thing with Catherine, why is she working for Gil again? I haven't watched the show as closely since they split everyone up and made Catherine into a raging bitch.

She really did, didn't she? She was turning in to a regular mini-Ecklie.

And I'm not surprised you missed the demotion thing - the only reference they made to it was in the very first episode of the season (you know - the one that starts with the whole team walking in slow motion toward the blown up trailer with some kind of rock music playing over the scene?). Catherine was processing something or another, and Gil came up to send her out to work a second crime scene. She made some comment about his sick sense of humor (or something along the lines) in getting the team back together just to split them up again. Which didn't really make sense to me, since they always worked different crime scenes throughout all seasons, not just last year when they were on different shifts.

Beyond that, it's never been mentioned, but moving the blonde chick who's now a cop to Gil's team eventually resulted in her leaving the lab - partly because she was dissatisfied with the work, and partly because she had obviously been demoted as some kind of political pay-back from Ecklie - so that's what had to have happened with Catherine, as well. You don't go from being the boss of your own shift to having a boss on a different shift without losing the rank. She doesn't seem too upset about it, though.

Kisses...

Very! I have one from Comcast, I love it to pieces.

Wow. No wonder I missed it.

Yeah, Catherine was becoming a min-Ecklie and that was highly obnoxious. I feel like they really lost their way last season and still haven't found their way back to the path.
