I thought I'd managed to avoid being affected by a measily one hour difference in time but no, I can't wake up early yet. John got the kids off to school yesterday and today and I am just managing to rouse myself enough to dress and head in to work. It's possible that my glucose is dropping very low while I sleep, the numbers are pretty low when I wake up-this would certainly make me a little more sluggish than usual.
However, as much as the early jump to "springing forward" has been annoying on some levels (like my daughter going to the bus stop in the dark), I love the lingering light at the end of the day. I spent most of yesterday in yoga pants, a t-shirt and my crocs (no socks!) and was just happy, happy. Seeing shoots form some of my bulbs poking out of the ground made for much joy as well.
Well, whatever, the time has changed, life goes on and the sooner I start what looks to be a very long day the sooner I'll be through it.
Reading:
Almost finished: Sebastian, Anne Bishop
Just started: The War on Republican Science, Chris Mooney
Will start today: Mistress of the Art of Death, Ariana Franklin
Will probably also read: The Game, Diana Wynne Jones
Continue to read selections from most evenings: Floating Takes Faith, Rabbi David Wolpe (This morning I read the essay, Logic is neat, but life is messy and boy did I need that reminder!)
