You know it's good when I get riled enough to actually say something. oh ho~!
I really try to stay out of politics and religious discussions. However this video is really irritating. So hold on to your socks, I've actually got something to say.
"It's only a matter of time until something you you don't approve of takes this back door!" woooo *insert ghost noises here* Oh and California is a communist state! Yeah, no fear-mongering there... I never really understood why people are so against letting same-sex couples getting married. First off, marriage is a secular thing, you don't even have to believe in anything to get a license to marry people! Also, they aren't asking for your religion to give them permission to marry, or asking your ministers to marry them, on what grounds do you really have to deny them? A book written by men a thousand years go? Uh-huh. And the harm is ... what now? People being together and enjoying the rights and freedoms every other opposite-sex couple does? ..... Still not seeing the problem. And the freedom of speech, he talks about, you know what that's in? the Constitution! You know what else is in the constitution? The 14th amendment, which is home to the "Equal Protection Clause" which states: "no state shall ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws". And the man who "violated his first amendment rights" would be perfectly fine to put a sign that says: "Please don't take my rights to marry by trying to pass a bullshit law" :D
Okay. I think I'm go for another 5 years.
