i really wish we could have watched kamikaze girls together but i didn't want to make you wait any longer. it's such a cute movie! it's not so much that one girl is you and the other is me, i think they're each a combination of both of us...but when i watched the movie it just made me think of you and i said "amy has to see this!" anyway, i miss you lots, and i hope you enjoy your presents. :)

I kept trying to be positive about that stupid holiday, but it really does suck pretty hard, huh?

Anyway, I think Jake gave you some pretty crappy advice. What's the point of being happy if you have to completely change the person you are? Who cares if you like horror movies, & sad music? You need to find a way to make YOU happy; not some pseudo-Amy who loves the Spice Girls & books about bunnies. I can see how someone would fault your interests for your depression, but I think being yourself is more important than being happy. Even if that does make me sound really crazy...

yeah, i think that the advice came from a good place, but it wasn't really what i needed. i see his point, but i gravitate toward such things because of the way i am, inherently, and to take away that is to change me altogether, which certainly would not "fix" anything. being yourself is definitely better than being pseudo-happy. ugh, the spice girls!

and yes, kenadie is so adorable! she looks like a doll.
