the time has come for bitter things.
with moi, it's always one thing after the next. now, its the bad tonsil hurting again, and this headache reruns repeatedly, and i feel all sick-ish and depleted and run-down and achey. it's probably just the same old amy disease. much i'm sure to meredith's dismay, i was super sneaky this morning and, rather than go to a doctor about my throat (in case you didn't know, i have a pathological fear of throat cultures), i called up the urologist and got the secretary to renew my prescription of cipro. so, now that i got myself on antibiotics, i hope this will all clear up. i think i need to marry a doctor. or, build myself a new amy. trade this one in for a new model...for one that isn't so broken.
i came up to white plains for to ariana's family party saturday night, and they rolled the carpet away to clear the living room for a long and very bouncy dance party. ari, rachel, david, me, and ari's cousins and parents and other relatives danced and danced to old records: hendrix, marley, bowie, "private eyes" (my request), earth wind and fire, sly and the family stone, etc. it was awesome (despite the headache, again). then, on sunday, i went to scott's, aka judy's, "holiday in harlem" party, which was rife with fabulous slightly older gay men. 2 people from my workshop, and our equally fabulous teacher, showed up as well. this week is our last class, and i'm going to miss it, though i'm also pumped to meet lots of new people next semester.
today, i drove with harvey and dave, from the magazine, up to the bronx to record the beyond race radio show. i got to interview shawn about the stevedores, and we also interviewed doron from the smyrk, and just bullshitted and stuff. i was a radio virgin, but not anymore. you must listen to this tonight (ok?)!! here is the info:
