Jesus Hates me
This piece of jewelry is out to get me. I have been working on a piece about casino culture. It's a signage piece worn as a pin... it's supposed to capture the idea that they draw you in but rarely give you the prize. It's simply stated with "Everyone's a winner" and "sucker" is lightly printed behind, plus some jazzy plexi glass and slick silver. Well if this piece couldn't be more appropriate, i have come so close to completion numerous times (about 8) only to have my dreams shattered. Today I walk into the studio to find the fumes from the super glue clouded my plexi glass, this is completely out of my control, yet i continue to drop quarters into the slot only to see lemons.
