Summary: Thousands of years in the future, professor Jared hires spaceship pilot Jensen to take him across the galaxy. Jared’s mission: to retrieve an ancient artifact said to contain magical powers. But all is not as it seems, and it soon becomes clear that cocky, arrogant Captain Ackles has his own agenda. As the two men deal with their growing attraction, Jared struggles to unravel the mystery surrounding his enigmatic companion. Jensen appears be a thief, a smuggler, or worse. But as Jared meets Jensen’s former compatriots, his perception alters, along with his own reasons for accomplishing his goal. One misadventure after another leads Jared closer to achieving his mission, but at what cost?
