Dear Real Life,
I really didn't enjoy spending the morning fighting stomach cramps and having to cancel an appointment for Brendan because I couldn't get far away from a bathroom for more than 20 minutes. Thanking you, though, for letting it pass by afternoon.
Now, can we discuss the fact that you had to go and throw something awful at my mom, who has a high threshold for pain and usually lies about how much pain she's in anyway so the rest of us don't worry. We are currently waiting for a call to go pick her back up from the ER(unless they admit her). Please take away her pain and guide the doctors to the answer of what is causing it.
Not so much love,
Me
Update: My oldest is on his way to bring his grandmother back to her house. The doctors said she has a kidney stone. It's apparently not very big, so they don't feel surgery is warranted. They are going to give her something for the pain until it passes.
Thank you, God, for watching out for Mom. I will probably sleep a lot better tonight knowing she and I are both going to be fine.
health,
family,
letter to rl
