(no subject)
Well, I went to my first Sexual Assault Conference yesterday at the Valley Forge Convention Center. It was very interesting and the food was good which was a plus. We got these great black leather bags for attending from Lifetime TV (a woman who works for them spoke at lunch)-she has such a cool job! I sometimes think I need to get into the TV business since I watch so much of it. She makes sure that the writers are incorporating important woman issues (domestic violence, sexual assault, etc) into the shows and movies. Anyway, the workshops were very interesting though and I felt like I got a lot out of them. I was the "Counselor on call" for the convention that day and had to wear a beeper in case someone wanted to talk. No beeps though! Oh well! :(
The other day I came home and a little tree was planted on our front lawn! It is so cute. We knew we were getting one but didn't know when.
Not much else is going on with me today-I think I am starting a stupid cold because Tim wanted the windows open last night-it was fine for him because he is like a bear (always warm from all of his hair-not on the back though! :)), but I was FREEZING all night-I slept with the sheets, a blanket, a throw, his arm around me, and our huge comforter on, yet I still managed to get sick! Oh well, what are you going to do?? :)
