Raccoon in the garage!

Well, I am finally on this live journal thing. It is nice that I have some spare time at work to do this! :)
I have a funny story to tell, but it may just not be as funny if you weren't there, but what the hell? Monday morning, I decided against going to the gym with Tim because I was tired from the weekend and figured extra sleep would be nice. So I heard him get up in the morning, gave him our usual good morning kiss, and started to doze back off once he was done in the bathroom and went downstairs. Until..... I heard him screaming on the top of his lungs from the kitchen for me to get downstairs because we forgot to shut the garage doors the night before and we now had a raccoon in our garage! I immediately ran downstairs in my pjs, heart pumping and told him to keep the door that connected from the kitchen to the garage shut as I didn't want it to get inside. Tim was so funny-he was totally flipping out yelling "Git Git" to the damn raccoon. I couldn't stop laughing! It was hiding under his car at this point (mind you, I had not seen this thing at all and was just listening to him from inside)-so he grabbed my keys to start my car to hopefully scare him out of our garage. This worked and tim saw the raccoon leaving the garage. However, the raccoon was not a raccoon but a big fat black cat!!! hahaha, it was so amusing-he was totally freaked out by this black cat-I am sure I would have been too if I wasn't expecting it. Anyway, the cat did not have a collar on-we figured it to be a stray! At work, I made fun of him through email which he thought was funny and when I got home and checked our mailbox there was a flyer inside from a neighbor with a picture of yup, you guessed it a fat black cat that was missing since the other night. I showed it to Tim and asked if this was his raccoon! I thought it was pretty funny-we are both too embarrassed to call this person though, but if we see it again (maybe it likes our house for some reason) we are going to let them know. So that was our Monday morning excitement! You can bet we won't forget to close the garage again! :)
