While I have seen flocks of robins in the vacant field at the end of the block, I've yet to see any make it to my yard. But, as I was downloading my vacation pics just now, I had my camera handy to catch a happy cardinal chirping away at the top of the maple tree. (And Elliot had to see what I was up to.)

Decided if I was ever to try to get a shot of the birds in my yard that was better than an Instagram "really, the cardinal is that little red blur" level - I needed to get out the mega-zoom camera Dad gave me a while back. :-)

Still need some serious practice to figure out the settings properly - but think I got some decent, or at least amusing ( Read more... )
