oh great fun being sick is
i woke up with that all too familiar... scratchy ick throat that comes with the onset of illness. and most likely this is that super nasty upper respiratory shit that everyone on campus has been getting. oh what fun... and the day before my presentation! by the sounds of it, if i'm lucky, i will still be sick when i leave for wisconsin. ugh! oh well, ya know? it was bound to happen, really. just thought i was doing a better job keeping it at bay. we'll see how it goes. i already did a sea salt gargle, i plan on having some gypsy cold remedy later in the day, and absolutely some chicken broth!!!
at least i know i'm not going to die. before moving out to the pacific northwest, i have never had any sort of horrible cough or any upper respiratory thing. the first one i got it was bloody hell!!! i couldn't breathe; i went to the doctor and he prescribed me an inhaler. it was pretty bad.. and it lasted well over a month. that's the thing about these upper respiratory things... they take a long time to heal.
anyway. so that was my oh-so-exciting discovery this morning!
