A while back, a friend "back home" was reminiscing the second big one. "Sir, I hate to tell you this, but we're surrounded."
The officer replied: "Good! Now we can shoot in any direction we want. They won't get away, this time!"
All of the sporadic nuiscance raids, the sabotage, incoming rounds, that "we who are the called according to his purpose" experience, are aspects of a very saturative spiritual war. And Amy knows what it is to be "surrounded."
The most recent example is her friend, Annie. Already "up to her ass in alligators and unable to drain the swamp" the woman had an underemployment job that scarcely covered child-care. (Four children whom she attempts to raise by herself.) Apparently, she worked an extra shift for some girl who "didn't come in." The little dab of extra wages put her a couple of bucks over what she was "allowed" to earn.
The woman lost everything that was subsidized, including her house, imposing such extremely severe financial devastation that she couldn't even afford to get back to the lousy job. She visited Amy, recently, but "red-tape" prevents any extended stay, as such "hospitality" would most probably allow some aspects of what tends to be a terribly complex burocracy to dump Amy into exactly the same situation. All of Annie's other options are exhausted, and the woman, with all assets having evaporated, may be sleeping on the Idaho ground. The only "benefit" is that it is not cold there, today.
Now we can say: "Hey! That's good! We can 'shoot' in any direction we want! The demonic elements of destructive influence won't get away this time!"
"He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world."
