Monkeypox negative, out of hospital, out of quarantine, free to roam the streets of Taipei. The first stop i made (and where i am currently stationed waiting to check into my new hotel) was a coffee shop where i got a proper americano and - with a nod to Bake Off - a rare slice of chocolate cake. I also have enough steroid cream to hopefully last me through however long it will take for me to get set up with local 健保 health card and schedule a return visit with a dermatologist to try figure out what exactly is wrong with my skin.

I tell you what, this was one of the sweetest coffees of my life. And i drink my coffee black and no sugars. Freedom! Wohoo!
