Public Launch Imminent!
Making steady progress on setting up the website update. Mechanically, it’s all in place, I’m just trying to nail the Version 1.0 look down (I’m already disatissified with it - too greyscale) and take care of some other look-related bugs. Turns out the really nifty trick I wanted to do? You can’t do it. Luckily, I think I’ve figured out a way around that.

Right now the blog is titled:

Cogs turn behind the lens.
Which I have to say, looks pretty stupid, even if it does have my name in it. And, to be frank, my graphics aren’t nearly as steam-punk as I’d like them to be, since I’m completely incapable of drawing (although…..) Any suggestions for a better one?
So, what can you expect to see in the All New Amul-Dot-Biz website? I’ve implemented Word Press blogging to handle the entire text-side of the site, and upgraded to the latest version of Bill Wadman’s Photofolio for the galleries, while trying to integrate the look & feel of the two halves more smoothly.
I’ve also organized the site into what is hopefully more coherent categories - Fine Art, Organizations, and Personal services for the galleries. Everything else is navigable through the News/Blog sidebar.
The last thing for me to figure out is the layout of the navigation sidebar. Obviously, I want the sticky-pages on top (Contact Info, FAQs, Major News Items). But do I want the links directly beneath that, or the archive stuff? Both are going to be pretty substantial - to the point where I’m already assuming I’ll somebody have to upgrade to a three-column layout (and I’m already debating if links go on the left and archives on the right, or vice versa).
